Millwright

National Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Millwrighting, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related trade. Millwright Class 1 Journeyman Card or equivalent recognised trade qualification. Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in an industrial plant, manufacturing, mining, recycling, waste-processing or heavy-engineering environment. Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience maintaining conveyors, screens, trommels, shredders, balers, compactors, pumps, motors and gearboxes. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics. Strong fault-finding, fitting, alignment and problem-solving skills. Ability to use diagnostic and precision measuring instruments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and respond to breakdowns under pressure. Willingness to work shifts or standby when required. Experience with PLCs, variable-frequency drives (VFDs), welding, fabrication and precision alignment is an added advantage. Electrical authorisation, welding certification or a valid Class 4 Driver's Licence is an added advantage.
