Reporting to the Senior Technician – Lab, supporting the laboratory activities within our mining operations. Responsible for all other personnel in the department for efficient operation of all sections under supervision. Responsible for analyzing plant samples (solutions, solids and carbons), geological samples, preparation of calibration standards, preparation of lab reagents and use of certified reference materials. Responsible for maintaining the budget within required limits. Responsible for the QA/QC before reporting and for reporting results generated in the lab to respective departments. Responsible for all safety requirements in the Lab, proper PPE, proper housekeeping and reporting all incidents and near misses.
