Description

Sabi Gold Mine invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above position. The successful candidate will drive implementation of the mine’s Integrated SHEQ Management System and champion a zero-harm culture across operations. Duties include ensuring the implementation of the IMS, updating SHEQ databases, enforcing legislation, tracking indicators, conducting audits and training.

Requirements

* Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline (Environmental Science/Studies, Safety, Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy). * Occupational Safety, Health & Environment Management Course (OSHEMAC) or equivalent. * At least 5 years’ experience as a SHEQ Officer in mining operations, 2 of them at supervisory level. * Experience developing and implementing ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems. * Good working knowledge of relevant safety, health and environmental legislation, standards and guidelines. * An MBL will be an added advantage.
