Description

An organization in the Motor Industry is looking for a Class 1 Mechanical Engineer/Diesel Plant Fitter (DPF) to start work at Head Office immediately. The candidate will be responsible for the following duties among others: 1. Administer all after-sales and warranty processes, ensuring all claims are processed from logging to final settlement in line with OEM standards. 2. Maintain and monitor a warranty tracker, including claim status, turnaround times, and recovery rates. 3. Coordinate with workshop and technical teams to ensure timely reporting of failures and return of parts to OEMs. 4. Monitor warranty KPIs and prepare monthly reports for management. 5. Manage procurement and logistics of OEM and imported parts, including RFQs, purchase orders, import documentation, and customs clearance follow-ups. 6. Maintain and update a master price list for OEM parts to improve efficiency and reduce lead times. 7. Liaise with OEMs and foreign suppliers regarding parts availability, lead times, and technical updates. 8. Track shipments of imported parts and communicate estimated arrival times to relevant business units. 9. Attend OEM training and facilitate structured training sessions for Strategic Business Units on warranty processes, parts identification, and OEM systems. 10. Provide first-line support to SBUs on OEM portals, warranty guidelines, and parts-related queries. 11. Maintain accurate records of all warranty and parts transactions in the system for audit purposes. 12. Ensure compliance with OEM policies, brand standards, and internal procedures. 13. Assist with monthly reconciliations between parts issued, warranty claims submitted, and credits received. 14. Report to the Group Corporate Administrator.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in after-sales, warranty administration, or OEM parts environment. Experience with heavy equipment or automotive OEMs will be an added advantage. Willingness to travel locally and internationally for OEM training. Valid passport and clean driver’s license. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of ERP systems and OEM portals. Strong understanding of warranty processes and parts interpretation. Excellent administrative and record-keeping skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Effective communication and training skills. Customer-focused mindset. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders. High level of integrity, and strong compliance orientation.
