Description
We are searching for a driven and technically strong Diesel Plant Fitter to join a leading organization in the heavy engineering sector.
Carrying out planned maintenance and attending to breakdowns.
Overhauling and rebuilding of hydraulics or mechanical equipment.
Inspecting all equipment hydraulics / mechanical functions.
Ensuring that all equipment is in good safe working condition
Requirements
Apprenticeship trained Journeyman Class 1 Diesel Plant Fitter
5 ‘O’ levels including English, Science and Mathematics.
At least five (5) years post apprenticeship experience working in a Mining, Heavy Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
Experience in preventive maintenance and thorough knowledge of earth moving equipment.
Good route cause analysis and resolution techniques coupled with the ability to meet deadlines.
Driver’s License is an added advantage
