Description

Accounting Assistant to take over the day-to-day financial data management of our SME Association and SACCOS. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a digital-first environment, enjoys high levels of accuracy in repetitive tasks, and understands the importance of data integrity in a member-based. Digital Bookkeeping: Accurately capture all receipts and payments into the accounting system (Zoho Books/Xero/QuickBooks). Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily/weekly reconciliations of all bank accounts to ensure 100% data completeness.

Requirements

Education: Diploma in Accountancy (HEXCO), SAAA, or a relevant Accounting Degree. We will also consider block release/part-time students. Experience: 0–2 years. We are open to brilliant recent graduates. Tech-Stack: High proficiency in Excel. Experience with cloud accounting software and WhatsApp/AI-integrated business tools is a distinct advantage. Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail; a “detective” mindset for reconciling discrepancies; and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive data entry.
