Projects Accountant

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (essential), Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CIS, or CA (advantageous), 4-6 years’ experience in financial and/or project accounting, Strong knowledge of SAP, financial reporting standards, internal controls, statutory requirements, and tax issues, Experience in forecasting, planning, ERP systems, and problem-solving, Understanding of Zimplats’ Business Management System (BMS), Capital Projects Management, and Fixed Assets Register procedures, Core Competencies: Sound judgment, initiative, and effective project finance management, Clear communication of financial insights and confident reporting, Expertise in SAP, ERP, and financial accounting processes, Data analysis, trend identification, risk assessment, and strategic recommendations, Financial modeling to support decision-making, Collaboration with project teams and stakeholder engagement, Efficient planning and adherence to procedures and standards, Commercial awareness and value creation focus, Knowledge of IFRS related to property, plant, and equipment.
