Applications are invited for the Production Line Manager position within Baker's Inn Manufacturing – Northern Region, Harare. Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will be required to take full charge of key responsibilities including, but not limited to: Lead and coordinate daily production activities to ensure timely fulfilment of production plans and customer orders. Supervise Shift Controllers and production teams to achieve quality, productivity, and efficiency targets. Monitor production processes, yields, and material usage to minimise waste and optimise costs. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, quality requirements, and company operating procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, product quality, and operational performance. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and workplace organisation across the production line. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Prepare and analyse production reports and implement corrective actions where required. Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to support uninterrupted production operations.

Requirements

Degree in Food Science and Technology, Biochemistry, Industrial Manufacturing, or a related field. Qualification in Baking Science and Technology from a recognised professional institution will be an added advantage. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a supervisory or production management role within the food manufacturing industry. Sound knowledge of baking processes, bread slicing equipment, and production systems. Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and people management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems. Clean Class 4 Driver's Licence.
