Description

Examining drawings, work orders and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, tolerances and equipment requirements Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation Selecting and preparing mechanical components, tools and equipment required for assembly and fitting Measuring and marking out components to required dimensions and tolerances Fitting and assembling mechanical components and machinery Installing bearings, bushes, pins, shafts, couplings, gears and other mechanical components Installing and connecting hydraulic components, including hydraulic cylinders, hoses, valves and fittings Aligning and fitting mechanical components to ensure correct operation and tolerances Using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment and workshop machinery to complete fitting and assembly work
