A reputable and expanding gold mining company operating in Manicaland, Zimbabwe, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of LHD Mechanic. Minimum Qualifications and Experience: National Certificate/Class 1 Journeyman in Diesel Plant Fitting or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years’ experience maintaining and repairing LHD machines in a mining environment. Experience working with underground mining equipment is a distinct advantage. Key Technical Competencies: Ability to diagnose and repair faults on Load Haul Dump (LHD) machines. Proficiency in preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs. Experience with hydraulic systems, transmissions and diesel engines. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Key Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LHD equipment. Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and perform corrective maintenance. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate maintenance and service records. Adhere to all safety, health and environmental regulations.
