We are currently building a strong pipeline of experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics who specialise in trucks and trailers for multiple upcoming roles across Melbourne and regional Australia. This role is ideal for mechanics with a strong background in road transport, particularly those experienced with prime movers, trailers, and large fleet operations.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (truck & trailer focus), although 5-10 years is preferred. Proven experience within the road transport industry. Experience working with leading truck brands such as Sitrak, Caterpillar, Kenworth, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Isuzu, Mack, and Freightliner (or similar) highly regarded. Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, including braking, suspension, and hydraulics. Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex faults. Experience with fleet maintenance and transport operations highly regarded. Ability to work independently and within a team in fast-paced environments. Valid driver’s licence (HR/HC/MC highly desirable). Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics. Additional certifications in hydraulics or transport equipment (desirable).
