Description
We are seeking a highly competent and proactive Generator Power Technician to take full operational ownership of the installation, preventative maintenance, mechanical overhaul, and electrical troubleshooting of our backup power fleet. The successful candidate will manage equipment ranging from small residential units to massive industrial systems, ensuring 24/7 power reliability.
Requirements
Trade Certification: Class 1 Journeyman certificate in Diesel Plant Fitting or Electrical Power Engineering. Education: National Certificate or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., HEXCO). Proven Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience explicitly dealing with backup generators and engines (such as Cummins, Perkins, KATE, or similar). Technical Prowess: Deep operational knowledge of low-to-medium voltage AC/DC power systems, relay logic, and reading complex electrical schematics. Driver's License: Clean Class 4 (or Class 2) driver's license is strictly required.
