Description

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified people to fill in a vacancy that has arisen in the organization. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair faults on motors, switchgear, transformers, control panels, and power distribution systems. Ensure minimal equipment downtime through timely interventions. Install electrical wiring, machinery, and equipment in compliance with standards. Assist in commissioning new plant and mining equipment. Conduct testing to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Conduct regular inspections of electrical installations and equipment. Monitor system performance and identify potential issues early. Maintain inspection and maintenance records. Key Skills and Attributes Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment Understanding of PLCs and control systems (advantage) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset Good communication and teamwork skills Qualifications & Experience National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Class 1 Journeyman Electrician (Trade Test) At least 3–5 years’ experience in mining or heavy industrial environment Experience in gold processing plants is an added advantage
