Applications are invited for the ACCOUNTANT position within Baker’s Inn Retail – Northern Region, Harare. The successful candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following: Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and management accounts. Manage project accounting, including CAPEX approvals, project cost monitoring, budget control, and contractor payments. Reconcile shop sales, cash collections, bank deposits, POS transactions, and general ledger accounts. Monitor inventory, food costs, stock variances, cash shortages, and operational losses, implementing corrective actions where required. Process supplier invoices, payments, and statement reconciliations while maintaining accurate accounting records. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business performance reporting. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, company policies, and accounting standards. Support internal and external audits and drive the implementation of audit recommendations. Partner with operational teams to strengthen financial controls and improve profitability.
